Viva Mexico
The trip was great. I overpacked which is always better than underpacking. I love Take & Toss and yes, I found out its BPA free. Every baby product in Mexico is extremely expensive. Take & Toss spoons that I bought here for $2 were $9 there. A plain white onesie was $8, a Graco Pack & Play was over $300 -the cheapest one & the stroller/car seat travel system was $700. You can never take too many extras.
Air travel was a delight, Ezra slept through most of it and when he wasn't , he was the entertainment for the flight. Row after row after row were enjoying his smile and even the man with the business suit couldn't help but increase the pitch of his voice to what only a few dogs can hear in astonishment of Ezra's wet, teething grin. He loved the city. He was busy looking around for the next colorful building. We did much driving and he loved it. Everybody was eager to meet the little guy and whether it was an aunt or an uncle, he was never left alone. We didn't worry about water, bottled water worked great. Everybody was astonished that I'd let him craw around and would point out that he was very independent. I love that he's not sensitive to warm or cold food. It was warm so I never warmed up his bottles and he drank them just fine. It's really hard to get organic foods there so I took his Earth's Best Apple Juice with me and was very conveniently packaged.
Baby car seats are rare and also expensive so it was very wise that we took ours. He was right on the cusp of growing out of it so we ended up leaving it for my expectant cousin. The time difference didn't make a difference with Chunkachoo, he was able to stay on track, the traveling helped exhaust him a little. Our Baby Bjorn was excellent, especially since we forgot our stroller back home.
Mexico was good to us, and we cannot wait to go back.
