Heavy Drinking

We realized today that we hadn't been offering Baby J much water recently.

It's not as bad as it sounds. He gets water from milk and also from the fact that we dilute all his solid foods. So really, it's not like he needs it needs it.

But today, after a tasty sweet potato meal, he kept reaching for the water.

So, hey, why not? We gave him some.

I'm not sure if you can visualize the extent to which he drank.

In order to understand the scale here, imagine a glass of water that stretches from your stomach to the top of your head. Better yet, imagine you're a frat boy in Vegas and it's shaped like the Eiffel Tower and filled with a margarita. Okay, now eliminate the margarita. And also the Tower. What we're after is the size, and I think that should cover it. Now you have a pretty good picture of how much water he drank.

Every time we thought he was done, he kept going.

We're pretty sure some of it might have actually made it to his mouth.

When he was done, he looked up from his glass in satisfaction.

Then, while we were looking at him in amazement, he leaned out of his seat, grabbed the glass, and overturned the remnants on top of the table.
